Mississippi Mud Cookies

Good morning all... it's early for me, but I figure if I'm going to make a go of this blogging thing I had better get it in while I can. Dalton is off to school and both the babies are still asleep. So that means lots of piece and quite time for me to write in my new blog.

I figure I'll try and help those of you with a sweet tooth. Mine gets the best of me most times (hence why the baby weight is still here) but that's ok, cause I'm the go to girl when you need to have something sweet! Here's a cookie recipe that will start a fire in your belly and leave you begging for more! Hope ya'll like it....

Mississippi Mud Cookies

Prep: 25 min Bake: 12 min per batch

1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 cup sugar

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1 cup chopped pecans

2 large eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

1 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

approximately 1 cup mini marshmallows

Microwave semisweet morsels in a small bowl at high for 1 minute or until smooth, stirring every 30 seconds.

Beat butter and sugar at medium speed with a mixer until creamy; add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until blended after each addition. Beat in vanilla and melted chocolate.

Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl; gradually add to chocolate mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in chopped pecans and 1.2 cup milk chocolate morsels.

Drop a heaping tablespoon of cookie dough onto a parchment lined baking sheet and press 3 marshmallows into each portion of dough.

Bake at 350' for 10-12 min or until set. Remove to wire racks for cooling.

Yields: about 3 dozen

So now go pour you a BIG glass of milk and belly up to the table, your not going to want to leave these cookies alone for a second.... someone might eat them all! Hope ya'll enjoy them as much as I do!

How to print on fabric

So this is my first post and for that your going to learn how to do something that I think is super cool. You can do just about anything with it and the best thing is this... there's only 4 steps!

Here's the supplies you'll need:

~ 1. Freezer Paper

~2. 8x11 cut to size and prewashed piece of fabric (a solid color works best)

~3. Iron

~4. Ink jet printer

So first, you need to locate a photograph or download a cool picture that you really like. I Chose this one of course:
In step two cut a piece of freezer paper to fit your fabric (8x11) that size fits easily into your printer. I like to use a piece of card stock as a template.

Step three, press your fabric free of wrinkles and iron on (shiny side to fabric) the freezer paper. Make sure your iron is on high heat for this step.

Step four, and the moment of truth..... put the stiffened fabric (fabric side down/freezer paper up) into the printer and PRINT! Taddaaaa.... that's it ~ you now have a self made master piece!

That's it your done, peal the freezer paper off the back of the fabric and the possibilities are endless for what you can do. I used this one as an applique on a t-shirt for my daughter. If your going to do an applique then leave the freezer paper on as a backing.

And by the way.... I learned after the fact that you should treat your fabric with something called bubble jet... here's a link and some information on it. Hope ya'll enjoyed this little project!
